Back in 2010, Broadstone Methodist Church made a pioneering move by installing a 10kW solar PV system made up of 43 panels and an inverter. With a 4-year payback period, the system quickly proved to be a smart financial and environmental decision.
Now, over a decade later, the church is still powered predominantly by solar energy, benefiting from long-term energy savings and reduced carbon emissions. The installation continues to perform reliably, showcasing the longevity and value of solar technology.
We recently returned to capture drone footage of the system in action, highlighting how this early investment in renewable energy is still making a difference today. The footage also serves as a powerful visual reminder of what’s possible for other churches, schools, and community buildings looking to reduce their environmental impact.
