A large residential-style building in Bournemouth used for educational purposes was facing rising electricity bills due to high daytime consumption. With a desire to futureproof the property, the client sought a clean energy solution that could offer long-term savings while qualifying for the educational VAT exemption.
The customer was seeking to reduce operational energy costs and future-proof their premises through a complete solar PV and battery solution. The primary goal was to offset nearly all of their electrical consumption while benefiting from educational VAT exemptions.
After an initial consultation and site survey, Save Energy UK proposed a high-capacity solar PV system with integrated battery storage. The system was designed to maximise daytime self-consumption and offset the site’s grid reliance while providing full visibility and control through a remote monitoring platform.
Given the symmetrical east-west roof layout, we configured the panels across both elevations at a 40° tilt to ensure a smooth solar generation curve throughout the day. The hybrid inverter and battery system were selected to deliver high-performance energy management and fast return on investment.
