The client wanted to achieve long-term reductions in their electricity bills while gaining more control over their energy usage. Key goals included:

• Reducing reliance on the grid

• Offsetting the majority of annual consumption with clean energy

• Gaining protection from rising electricity costs

• Maximising return on investment with battery storage integration

By combining solar PV with a well-sized battery, the system needed to support both daytime and evening loads — improving independence and long-term savings.

Following a detailed on-site assessment, Save Energy UK proposed a split-orientation PV system with battery storage to increase energy independence. The system was designed to deliver high performance, maximise self-consumption, and provide long-term returns, all installed with minimal disruption to the site.

Due to the availability of suitable roof space with a strong south-facing pitch, the installation would yield excellent generation levels. Battery capacity was sized to absorb excess daytime solar and cover evening usage.
